    Wood and Pellets tonight! BAM! The wife's thyroid has her very cold so...

    I have Cherry, Maple and some chunks in the stove on a good 4" coal bed.

    -11 according to the outdoor weather station. Not as cold as last week but cold enough!

    AccuWeather says -3 pfft what do they know..

    Could you have heated with just one of them if that was all you had? Did you find that the wood stove gave out a lot more heat.

    I run the woodstove 99.9% of the time and it keeps the house plenty warm for 12 hours. I ran the pellet stove when we saw -23°F along with the woodstove, and we were cooking!:thumbs:

    Im currently using Maine's, saving the good ones when Its consistantly cold. They are energex or something like that.....

    I wish I could wake up to the low 70's inside. My wife keeps the stove going 80-85 About drives me out. I wonder if I ran around naked if she would get the hint that it is too hot for me.
