Woodstove temperature alarm, buy/make?

    I know there is probably a thread on this, so just point the way, but I want to either make or purchase a stove temperature alarm which will sound in the case reaching an extremely high temperature, such as in the case of an overfire. Haven't overfired my stove, but I got close the other night, so I figure this is just a little insurance.

    Just my 2 cents, but I like an alarm that keeps going off until you reset it.
    I know it's more expensive than a kitchen timer, but the Auberins AT100 works great.
