I apparently am an idiot. Made a alaskan mill I cut two slabs and now I can't cut anymore. It goes in half an inch and stops. It's 30 inch sugar maple. I tried a ripping chain and regular. Is there a specific grind angle on chain to help? I have to push all my might on chain to cut the two that I did

You can sharpen the chains with more aggressive angles to feed itself also. If I have to push I sharpen. I try to keep it where all I have to do is hold the trigger on the saw.

Can you post a picture of your cutters/teeth? If your piece is laying flat, you'll have to push. I think what Mike is referring to is having one end slightly elevated, allowing the mill to flow downhill.
