    For me nothing is better than doing something outside, freezing my keister off and coming in for a hot chocolate with schnapps.

    Hot chocolate and Baileys does me gooder. :coffee:

    I don't partake anymore, but I used to run on a lot of vodka, and that sure chased the cold away.:drunk::drunk::rofl: :lol:

    Ja Schlot yew dun lost yur marbles!
    I work out in it daily. Last thing I wanna do is get my firewood done in it . I do however try to get my firewood all done in the early spring on frosty mornings so I don't tear up the yard or sweat my klackers off.

    I scrounged some firewood one winter during a cold snap of -30.

    Sheesh! Even the saw looked at me and asked "seriously?"

    Well, there are many who have always thought I'm not right in the head. As for winter, I always loved winter. However, as I age a bit I'm getting so I love it a bit less now. I'm usually okay so long as I can keep moving when outdoors but if you have to do something standing still, then it is not so good. Also, if you have to fix something, especially if you have to remove your gloves to handle something metal, then it is not a love affair for sure.

    Funny though as we've been pretty cold lately and yet today it has warmed up into the 20's. I still about froze plowing snow this morning. It did not bother me at all last Sunday and Monday plowing snow but I had to switch gloves a few times this morning it keep my hands from freezing. My legs got cold too. But, the humidity is way up today and that perhaps makes the difference.

    btw, I have heated handlebar grips on the atv but the thumb has to run the throttle and no heat there so the thumb gets really cold. On the other side is the control for the winch so that hand is not on the grips much at all so warm gloves are a must.



    Also my wife and I spent 5 winters in Arizona (near Yuma) and learned to love it but haven't been there for quite some time now. It was a bit different getting used to winter again after being down there.

    I think the humidity is a huge thing...that and the wind makes a big difference.

    Got out with Doug to the wood lot after taking all the dogs there earlier.

    Cracked a few rounds of elm and ash.
