And we used to have lots of fun. Seems we had names over every stanchion in the barn because all the cows did have names. That is how you keep records. When folks would visit and would watch as we let the cows in the barn come milking time, they almost always asked if the cows came to the same place each time. Of course they do we'd say. Then they'd ask how they know where they were supposed to go. Well, duh.... They just read the names...
Not sure about you but I would not be offended. However, I might point out the stupidity of the remark.
One of my coworkers who lives in a, shall I say, fairly affluent area in a northwest Detroit area suburb was completely baffled last year when I was talking about heating with wood and wood pellets. I honestly believe that she thought all firewood came from the gas station, was sold in bundles and was only to be burned on Christmas Eve.
At the super bowl party I was at I got some looks & comments when it came up that I've got about 6 years' worth of FW stacked at home....and that was from the other wood burners.
We were riding snowmobiles yesterday and we cam across an Amish guy gathering firewood with his kids.
