I'm posting from the megaplex. Movie starts in 15 minutes. This place in insane!!! I haven't seen crowds like this for a movie since one of the Star Wars sequels. We came for the 12:15 showing and it was sold out. They've been turning people away all day. They are running two rooms, one for 2D and one for 3D and it's been sold out all day. This is the only movie I've ever looked up on Rotten Tomatoes that had 100% positive reviews among the professional movie critics. My 17yo is still a Lego maniac. We've been looking forward to this one for a long time.
Well, we had a my 17yo son, and a 9 year old and 16yo friend along. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, including my wife and me. Its rare when the professional critics as well as the general public agree but this one deserves its good reviews.
Haha! I usually wait for movies to come out on TV, haven't been to a theater in years. No real reason, just mainly never in a rush to see a movie where I can justify $10.
Hmmm, didnt think I would go for this one, but maybe I will have to give it a shot...when it comes out on DVD. Takes a Huge Screen required blockbuster to get me in the theaters these days.
I can stand theaters to many people all crammed in one place. I Netflix them and it works out great as they come out in the theater I put them in my que and when they are released they show up at my door. Last time I went to a theater the kids behind me talked laughed and texted the entire time. I was unhappy to say the least. I will be adding the Lego movie to my que shortly. Hope it's as good as they say and you enjoy it.
