I have chronic plantar faciitis. I have orthotics but still have issues. I am gunna break down and get a pair of house shoes with support in them. Wear orthotics any time I am outside or at work. Still have pains n tried hillbilly home health care today and took some veterinarian elastic self adhesive wrap for on horses legs and went around the top of my foot and under the arch. Had it on all day and seems to help. What do you do for hoof pain. Lookin at amazon n they have some copper sleeves like I cobbled. Anyone use these or what works for you? I have extremely high arches that collapse and tear the tendons and feels like spikes driving up into my arch.:pain:

Only "liked" your post to indicate that I read it and understand.
Stretching is what fixed mine. 2 hands against a wall and push back, one foot closer to the wall than the other. Slowly....

Like Eric, I found that stretching helps. For about a year I wore N/B sneakers, even with a suit to weddings. Right now mi e are pretty good, but I do get flares. Soaking in warm water helped a little. I heard ice is also helpful. Good luck, and feel better, man.

I do not have plantars fasciitis. I do have other foot problems. I found a pair of Sketchers house shoes than another pair of Kohl's knock off of the same Sketcher, both with memory foam and a very springy thick sole similar to the one below, both give me a lot of relief. Of course there are mens kinds.

Have you been seen by a podiatrist? Pain is no fun in so many ways. I would say it is worth getting a professional opinion and a plan of care. Brian is a podiatrist, why not send him a PM

I'm new to the foot pain. I've been dealing with it for about 1 year.

So far the only thing that helps me is wearing boots with a taller heel and the Dr Scholls custom inserts. All my other shoes won't hurt when wearing them, but the next morning the first few steps freaking hurt bad and let me know it's time to go back to boots.

I went to Good Feet Store here in town. They customized arch supports and non arch support insoles, I've been running like this for 4 or 5 years.... I've warranted their arch supports last spring. But I've been happy with them on our concrete floors at work... Good Luck...

I have a menthol roll on pain reliever I really like. For particularly bag days I have a higher concentration menthol rub I put on, put my socks on over, and then use my foot massager. Stretching in the tub really helps.

when you say you have orthotic inserts - we talking over the counter or true orthotics from a cast?
I bought some 4-5years ago during my herniated disc issue and have had two new sets made since - night and day difference in foot fatigue 2-fiving in boots for 12-16hrs a day

This good feet store. What kind of supports, what kind of expensive like 100 500 a 1000 and does it go through insurance company or all out of pocket?

I'm not sure of insurance... I paid out of pocket. Don't quote me on it, but I think it was 250 ish for the first set of support (the ones that you wear all the time). And I went ahead and bought the second set (100 and something plus 60 for 2 pairs of insoles) (called the maintenance or relaxer - less arch basically). With mine they recommend like wearing the main one for x hours and the maintenance one for that many hours too... then you basically wean yourself off the maintenance one (they reside in my $hit kickers)... and just wear the main ones in my work boots. When I first started with them... it felt like a golf ball you were walking on. But as your foot and arch adjusted to correctness.... it became a natural feel and relief was had...

They take and do a pressure imprint of your feet and they then do there sale speech... they'll bring out a couple of different support to see how you respond to them. But for me they are worth every penny.
