For over a month now I been battling a rotten wisdom tooth. Finally last Thursday and Friday the pain was telling me that some thing needed to be done about this situation and pronto! So,,, Friday afternoon I called the dentist that pulled some teefers outta my head around 6 years ago. Cant get me in till the next Tuesday to have a look see. O.K. I've lived with it this long, whats another 3 days. Went in this morning and yep, that tooth needs to go he says. Super abscessed and rotten to boot. Was in and out in under 40 minutes with absolutely no pain what so ever. Dentistry sure has come a long way since I was younger when going to the dentist was like going to a torcher chamber. Of coarse I walked out less one wisdom tooth and $250 outta my wallet but my skull and throbbing no more. [IMG]

I think part of it depends on the dentist. I found a good one 38 years ago and still go to him.

Most of the pain with teeth is prior to going to the denstist.

I've had to have a root canal and let me tell you that tooth pain is the worst. It's in the top 3 to 5 pains a person can have.

Butcher. Glad it went well for you. My wife, known on here as Mimi had the same thing 3 weeks ago. Ended up on the hospital with out of control infection. She is home now but it was pretty tough for a while. Chief
