Moved a lot of stuff from around the barn today and cleaned up. Nice to be able to get that done before the real cold sets in and we get snow piling up. Good job done.

Moved about 75 fence post down to camp where we will fence an area behind the camp on high ground that the horses can use in the spring. About 1 acre I would say, if the wife can save enough money for the fencing.

This will give the pasture behind the house and barn a break and we can get it cleaned up in the spring, drag it and let it get dried out and grass get a good jump on the growing season.

Also moved a bunch of junk wood, long drier boards, and small driers (1x1s). Will burn junk in boiler for heat, kept big driers in barn, and will use 1x1s for garden stakes.

Also moved another half a cord of wood into the basement.

    I tired now.

Yes. Comfy chair. Two cold beers. A bowl of tossed salad. A half a bowl of macaroni and cheese. Now content.

Went down to the in-laws and cut a dead walnut up. The whole family was there helping, but the only picture taken shows me the only one working.;)

Worked on my north wall today...got up into the low 40s so it was just about right.

    New window and siding

In between tear off and putting up the new sheathing, helped my FIL take off his old garage door and track so the contractor could come put in the new one.

Got the dogs out for a quick run at the wood lot. Split some more and started stacking...am I done yet? :)

Didn't have much time as I used all the daylight and then some to get the north wall back together (for the most part)

    Next up: Dinner...shower....bed

Getting some cold weather gear ready for tomorrow.....roughing in a new construction for boiler/forced air/and (shudder) AC. Also doing the fireplace venting, gas piping, fart fans, and just about everything else that the homeowner forgets he needs done. He is trying to be the general on this job and it is a learn as you go process with him.
This ones gonna take awhile before its done!

Caffeine! Just checked on the boiler and I will have to venture out a little early this morning to clean snow up. Enjoy your day folks and careful on those roads. Some drivers out there need a refresher course.:picard:
