Went out this morning and then this afternoon to finish up. Small pile of stuff I plan to re-split behind Casper. All the Maple is the yellow looking stuff. Full cord easy by the time I get that last bit SS. He should be back this afternoon with another cord, so I'm glad I made myself get this done.
Well tell Casper to help ya finish... my dog does grabs a split and runs around.... trying to train her to bring them to me... she is learning ... the trick is bacon! tell the next load your almost finished!
I would, but I don't feel like draggin' the splitter out. I'll wait to see how big the next batch of splits are, then do 'em all at the same time.
Pretty good immune system, but yep....good advice. I'm not getting any younger. I did get out in a very light rain a couple different times, then went in to warm up. Wore a hoodie, so that got wet instead of me. Not my 1st rodeo. Brother and I were on a job (new construction log home....huge), a few years ago, and I think the wind chill was about 10 below. Even the heater we had didn't help much, so we only worked a few hours. Talk about chilled. Brother and nephew came over this afternoon and helped put in our new back door.....in a light rain.....again. Jeesh, you'd think we could pick a better day to do this stuff. Thanks for lookin' out Kimberly.
Hey, a bit of mothering never hurts anyone. Mum use to caution us about wrapping up. A study, oh, a year or so ago, found out that cold viruses actually multiplied better when the nasal passages were chilled; so Mum was right.
Got one a them texts tonight " some bloke is felling some trees in Morley ( 6 mile away) me an our kid were in our vans and off . We will take anything that's free and burns .
