One of my best friends in high school granddad was big into trains. he had the whole setup with control area. Had all kinds of shops on storrfront, elaborate scenery, with moutains, tunnels, snow, lake, everything.

Oh yes, the memories. I'll take this back a bit further and remember when we had a big train set...back in the 40's. It was a really big train. We didn't have a lot of track but did have a crossover a few buildings and the engine would smoke and had a light on the front too. We had a ball. We had to set it up in the attic as that was the only place we had room but no, we did not have any plywood that I remember.

Hope you guys have some fun with this.

Man, I hope they're Crayolas. Dem's da bomb. Goodest. The ones from Big Boy (the restaurant) aren't very useful.

Well right now I am in the middle of building a table for a new layout but first chance I get I will take some pictures, I have built some old style dirt modifieds (coupes and sedans) that I enjoy as I grew up watching them at the Spencer fair and Alta raceway.

Experamenting with different substrate matterials. I am thinking green tinted cornmeal will be a keystone in our design. Also, maybe coffee and even some instant coffee for lighter brown.
