Not sure about the rest of the group, but we lost our 30 inches of snow over the last week, and I am itchy to get back into the woods. Got two large hickory, 4 small hickory, a couple small maples, and one large maple to drop and buck. Itching to get into the woods . Anyone else ready to do the same due to weather and short daylight hours?
I wishhhhh, it's been a dry spell for me here in Bucks County PA trying to find wood for the taking or giving away....I'm itchin to split and find wood
I've been waiting for it to cool down more, took yesterday off work since it was 60 and sunny to put up Christmas lights did some other stuff outside, including laying out some pallets. I don't need to do any cutting, but I have a close to a couple cords of logs laying out in the woods I need to load up on the tractor wagon and stack until I get time to split them, I'm hoping to have time Sunday to do that.
Hey Nicholas62388 you are about to come up to your 1 year anniversary on this forum. Congratulations and thanks for sticking around.
It's been awesome and I absolutely am a firewood addicted everyone's input and advice has helped greatly and now everytime I pass by a pile of wood or downed tree I'm like a kid in a candy store Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm gonna try and go out tomorrow if this rain ever stops and get some wood. It's been raining hard for the last 2 days. The wood should be pita with all this rain. Should I bring at least 2 extra chains just in case ?

Gonna try to finish cutting my longs pile in the backyard. Need to get that CSS. Then I can start some pine which will be cord #13 (a shoulder cord for the early 18-19 season). Hope to run around the neighborhood to score a couple scrounges as well. Hope it stops raining.
