My daughter and nephew are both doing great this year. Took my daughter out for youth last weekend and she got a nice little buck. She loves it, sits in my lap and I help her with the shot and take the recoil. Nephew went out today and got his first deer. Both of them were overly excited and their smiles were worth every bit of work.
Congrats young ones! Very good you take them out to experience and learn valuable lessons. They will remember and pass on what they've learned to their kids!
Great pics! Your daughter is set to give Momma a run for the money Nephew looks awfully pleased too! Awesome, swags
No legal limit, Ohio has an apprentice program that they can be in for three years prior to taking a Hunter Ed. Rules are pretty simple, they have to be with a licensed adult that is supervising them. I think its a great idea, it allows a parent or family member/friend to teach a child how to hunt and be safe before the kid takes the course. I think a lot more is learned in the field vs on paper.
