I actually do hate the splitting and stacking part. And moving some to my garage every 2 weeks and re-stacking. And starting a fire first thing in the morning and as soon as I get home from work.

But the cutting part, yeah THAT part is a blast!

Right where I want to be.
Started out woodworking (boards) over 40 years ago, and promoted mahself to this new woodworking thing (farwood) a few years ago.
    I'd say, yes.

No! I don't have a problem! I've been watching and watching this tree next to where I work---it was leaning bad-- 1201160917.jpg and the other night the wind took her down---my blood raced and I told the neighbor I'd be over to take care of it this weekend--meanwhile praying no one beat me to it...ha!

Wrong forum, probably want to go to a site that has real wood burners that actually burn wood.
This place has turned into a pellet forum. :emb:

Do pellets count? If I burned pellets I'd have rigged up some waterfall type trough so I could pour them in from my warm comfy bed and not have to make those naked runs to the woodburner 3 times a night!

The only part I don't like is moving the stacks into the woodshed at the end of the seasoning.

I enjoy hauling a big load of rounds out of the woods. Everything else is meh:
    • Splitting
    • Stacking
    • Moving wood up to the house
    • Building a fire
    • Loading the stove
    • Cleaning out ashes
    • Cleaning the chimney
