Firewood as construction staging

    I've been noticing that the front porch was sagging , and the support wood was rotten .
    I needed something to support the porch while I replaced the wood under the porch deck, so I put my Jacks on some nice oak rounds.
    It actually turned out good , I even had two men in the church show up to help get it all done 20161119_133522.jpg

    When we went to jack the left front, we found that the supports were so rotten the porch had been hanging off of the house, mostly unsupported o_O
