All my stuff is 0 scale, most of it is the early pre-war tin stuff, I restored several sets around 10 years ago. It's a Christmas tradition.. We'll be setting it all up in a week!!
Scotty Overkill, Nice layout for Christmas. I too am a O scale guy with 3 rails. I had some HO stuff given to me by customers and now have that to setup. I call running toy trains, "the old guys art". I enjoy the "escape" running my gives me.
schlot As we all know pictures or a video or it didnt happen We all like trains i think a video for all to see would be great
Good idea...if I can't do that, I will bring some crayons along and Griz and I will just draw pictures of what happened. Griz,..do you have crayons, or should I brings some?
I got crayons AND colored pencils. The train will be in the garage, so we might not have power to it.
My brothers and I had a American Flyer train set. It was elaborate. set up on a table the size of a ping pong table. Had all sorts of accessories. My older brother and I went off to war. Parents gave the set to my younger brother. He has it boxed up someplace. No matter. Fond memories. I'm glad I stumble on this. Helped me think of something good.
This is cool. Stepdad had a whole setup on a big piece of plywood in the basement. Mountains, tunnels, the whole deal.
Man the memories! My aunt and uncle have s train every year! It's really one of the best memories from my childhood. I wish I'd had videos of that to rewatch schlot i like your train video idea! Nice train sets folks! I wish I still had one. Guess we will have to buy one someday but first I need to get the tree out!
Same here Larry. My 2 brothers and I had a similar setup on a ping pong size table with HO scale. My oldest brother still had the layout but I think he had to dismantle it after his last move.
