I know this has been a topic here already, but it happenned again when I bought my boots today!

    Total amount due is 105.99
I gave the girl three 50's and a one dollar bill....151.00 (in hopes of not getting 44.01 inchange-just a couple 20's, and a 5 right?)

She stares at me blankly, then gives me the one dollar bill back. I smiled, and gave it right back to her and she starts muttering something about too much, it won't work...

I smiled and said just punch the numbers in, it'll figure it out.

As soon as she did, the light went on and she turned and looked at me and said "Oh, I see!"

I can't remember the last time I had more than $100 in cash on me.

I used to buy the cheaper boots years ago since I was so rough on them.
I deserve dry warm feet during the work day. Too many years working with very cold or very wet feet all day long makes it very miserable when you are at no heat situation all day long.

Dave you work hard (just a guess;)) you deserve to have comfortable feet! I'm sure da wife appreciate you not being miserable:whistle:

you know mechanics and construction workers are forced to have their product work and be free from defect for 1 to 3 years seems like teachers should be held to same standard.... just sayin.... fyi.. 8 aunts and uncles are teachers... at holiday party girl was talking about % off and was wrong by 3 times... I saw my aunt roll her eyes I asked her when I left is your tongue bleeding? she said no.. but it would be IF I was her math teacher

yooperdave I think what lukem was getting at was that he just doesn't carry cash on him like that. Neither do I. As for the boots, I usually end up paying much more for them than you did. I'm right now considering ordering a pair of Baffin boots. Way more than yours! But I have a problem with cold feet so have to deal with it.

Ha, yup love being paid to shop when the kid at the register can neither count the bills coming out for change nor count it back (very few do this anymore).

At a show recently and I bought a couple way overpriced beers, they were $7.50 so I handed a $20 expecting a quick transaction. Nope, she had to pull out the dumb phone and use the calculator :picard:

    HA! It happenned again yesterday!

This time with a woman old enough to know better!

Charges were $5.51 so I gave $6.01 and first got a dollar back....then got a dollar fifty back.....then finally got .50 back from a very red faced woman telling me she needs sleep!!!
