I went, just got back, went to fleet farm and got 5 bags of dog food, and some treats for them, still was $160!!! At least the lines weren't bad, went in an hour late and they still had everything on my list and plenty of it.
Nah- to many zombies..... I read about the parking space shooting and shooting at stores though...... the day after giving thanks no less......
My wife and I went out and played racquetball at her gym. There isn't a deal out there good enough to make me get out of bed early and deal with nutty shoppers.
I took the atv to a neighbor's. Does that count? Actually I had to go there (a mile from us) to pick up a new engine that Fed Ex delivered....wrongly.
Negative. I did have to get up early to get my kids back to my ex-wife and took the dog to the vet. That's it though.
I walked to the mailbox and back. Last time I shopped on 'black Friday' was 9 years ago. I bought a 42" flat screen Sharp Aquos TV that was on sale for $849. A TV that size today can probably be found for under $300. Good news is that I still have that TV and it works just fine.
Nothing. I used to scoop up some screaming online deals in past, but since the economy took a dive, there arent a whole lot of those deals anymore. Also, I have spent the last year or so sorting through 26 years of accumulated items, and fitting them into our new home which is 1/2 the size. That is a huge deterrent to bringing new things in the house.
Ran the Hounds in the woods for a couple hours this morning, didn't see another soul, was a hell of a deal.
I especially like the part, just before 8 min I think, when some shoppers thought it would be faster trying to go up an escalator that was going down, then wipe out at the top! Oh, that had me going!
I only made it though 4 minutes, its kind of sickening! And to think, it's all in the spirit of giving lol. What do these people tell their kids? "Look honey at the 42" TV that Santa brought you, he only had to throw an epic temper tantrum and rip it out of some woman's hands to get it to you"
Although right after my first post I happened to get on Amazon's site and noticed an 80k BTU kerosene heater I've had my eye on for a year was marked down to $130, it was $200 a year ago so I bought it. I'm not sure if it was a Black Friday deal or not, but I guess technically I've participated now.
Not a chance!! You would think they were all trying to get the last gallon of milk as a major snowstorm was on their doorstep.
