I agree with keeping the stove....I am going to buy a second stove this Spring just to even the heat out on the real cold days and it can be a backup in the event my current one needs parts and is down for a few days.

I think a quick sale would be $700 to $800. But you might be able to squeak out closer to $1000 to $1200 if its in dandy shape. Don't be afraid to price it just a little higher, Most will offer a bit lower than asking price to get a deal. I'd list it quickly as prices are up on fuel oil. But if it doesn't sell by April, Sit on it until October. Don't let anyone talk you too low during the warm summer months. You'll get a bit more in the heat of the season. :D

I sold my Breckwell stove in March, Just about tax return season. My stove was a season and a half old and in nice shape. So I priced it about 2/3 of a new unit(I paid 1500 and listed it for $950. He offered $850 and I shock his hand!). Fella actually traveled 125 miles to come see it. I tried to be fair and not over priced. And it sold quick. Made us both happy! ;)

Santa, well from my backside and white hair ( what's left of it) I could pass for.
Actually, I'm a bit nervous about the change. It is a dramatic change for me. My stove was so simple and basic. It has been a good friend since 2008. Sort of reminds me of when I changed trucks.
I am still trying to get things ready. I'm a hoarder of more than pellets. Back of my truck is filling up with "stuff".
Every time I haul some stuff out I ask myself "what in hell were you thinking". Most of the heaving done, now to tidy things up a bit and be ready. Wife is sick with a cold so she wasn't able to help. She'll like the heat once it is hooked up and running.

Believe me, they're very simple to operate. Set the temp and turn it on. Done. I've read posts about setting feed gates and trim and draft and I just shake my head.

He's done well with the NPS 40 and its finicky adjustments. The Harman should be a breeze for him. He's going to love the month long periods between cleanings. Bet he does the pot scrape out of force of habit more than anything though.

Lots of good Harman burners to help him along. And we have Eric and LW for the tricky bits if needed. I'm sure he's in good hands! ;)

    Is it 3 O'clock yet? :D
