I stopped at the local grocery store bought 10 turkeys and told the girls to give them to the first 10 people they thought needed them

It's my scrooge Mcduck approach - I have my failings and limited time to volunteer but my GF runs the store so she gets to receive the thanks one-one when a customer gets a free turkey

I just got done with woodcutting and hauling, then dinner, so I'll watch for errors now that I'm surfing this site again.

Oh man does that open the door to some wisecracks.

I hope she had a good day and you also!

We try to celebrate birthday week here...sometimes.

Just went through office desk and did some organizing and paid a few bills.

Just notified. Brother, his wife, and two sons are going to be staying at our house instead of at our camp for the next four days.

Time to move the bed back home from the camp I brought it to this afternoon.

They all want internet access and to be closer to where the work is going on. (Barn. Brother and nephews are going to help out when not visiting other peeps.):handshake: I'll take it!

Trying to get that kids quad running, seems carb related should be no biggie. New kit, cleaned, checked it twice. No go. Tried to just get it to pop with mix down the piston hole. Then, nothing, starter just whirs. Pulled the starter and the top shrapneled in the gearcase. Ugh this thing better not turn into a money pit.

That's too bad, do you mean the gear on the starter motor? Is the motor free to turn over, or has it seized?

There is a metal cover (or half cover) on the starter that covers where the teeth shoot out once the solenoid kicks in. This cover shattered, my guess is something was in the gearcase that it caught. I pulled it, and the shrapnel as well. Will give the clutch a good inspection since I am staring right at it now anyways. New starter amd gaskets plus TLC, lets hope that will fix that.

The motor is good, it is entirely separate and was giving me 150# of compression. Piston looks great from both ends.

What a day! Howling wind, torrential downpour rain with a section of slushy snow mixed in for our trip down island. Came out of Costco and it was just pouring. Fortunately for the trip home, the rain eased up, the wind died down and the traffic was minimal. Long day for campinspecter to drive as I am not up to it yet.

Had a decent day at work since the temp furnace got installed at the new construction work site and is waiting for gas. Cold, but not unbearable. Workers there were sure glad to see me pull up yesterday morning!

I prefer that it be a boring day if it's all the same to you. An interesting day would mean there is an issue with my new propane tank install - and that would be a bad thing
