Hi guys, stored my mixer on its side, it leaked some kind of oil or grease. Also, last I used it (a few years ago) it was smelling pretty hot.

does this sound right? Wheelbearing grease ok instead of food grade, no food grade here and of course I need it tomorrow:rolleyes:

Sorry, but you should use food grade only.

    From the article you linked..........
"A tub of grease. Any grease will do; I use wheelbearing grease"

So, guessing now we overheated the motor last time a couple years ago, plenty of grease in there.

Well, reassembled, still gutless and can smell the motor. New Motor is $325 and we need it for tomorrow anyway (bulk batches of ravioli dough for Thanksgiving). Only one in town is 50Watts less, but. Merry Christmas WWW, LOL payback for buying himself a pellet grill for Mothers Day and saying it was for me:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
