We are sunny and 36 degrees now. It was a bit nippy this morning but this has been one of the very best days for being in the woods. I had to clear a few lanes but got started hauling out some wood that Shawn Curry and HDRock (I'm thinking Redneck may have helped some on this too) cut last spring at our gtg. Those guys cut and stacked a bunch of dead ash and it's just been laying there ever since. So today I got a few logs hauled out although not as much as I'd liked. Got the dray hung up on a log so had to come up for the saw. But by then, my body had said enough for today! Tomorrow I'll grab the saw and take care of that little problem and haul more wood too. Weather should be even nicer tomorrow!
Sounds like some good winter work and Ash sure makes it worth the effort. I wish I more access to some Ash around here. Put a new mail box out on the County road today. Seems we have a thief in our midst out here so installed a locking mail box. Nice day here also.
Sorry about that Dave but to put it simply, I forgot to take the camera and when I had to quit I could barely walk so the pictures have to wait until tomorrow. Please forgive!
Deer season here.. got snow.. couple of hunters asked if I wanted to drop some pines this morning so they would know where they would be eating... I didn't as it might rot before mud season let's me get it out.. and we can wait for some pics Dennis!
To bad we couldn't take more down , lot of dead ash n elm out there . Pace yourself Dennis , you will get
Let's hope that isn't a primer for the winter. We only got a coating and I was getting worried already.
Yeah, I got a bit of work done today too. However I spent about 3 hrs with windshield time. I'll get more done tomorrow. Dennis, do you have a camera on your phone? Let's see what we can get done tomorrow
Yea Know "Dragging arse tired" You have enough aches & pains without pushing it Slow & steady will get it done Most times faster , nothing gets broken & no injuries
Sounds like a good day... well better than being at work........ easy and steady wins the race, Dennis...
Ah, Syracuse, heart of the snowbelt - gotta love it. We got maybe, 6-8 inches? Looking forward to spring so stay warm.
Phone has a bad camera I can use but usually do not take it as the thing is almost worthless with the poor coverage we get here.
Whoa. That is too much at one time. Makes for some big time messes. I can imagine what it will be like as things no doubt aren't frozen much and it will warm up soon. Slush and water all over. No thanks. But we feel for you.
