Well, I'll see what I can get done here up at the cabin before heading back home.

I will probably run the parent's stihl ms211cbexgdfggss that they got new last fall. It's a nice little saw.

Mom's collected a good number of "sticks" as I call them that need to be shortened to feed the boiler. There's some pine and poplar but a lot of it is red oak, and it's DRY.

I got some plywood scraps to take home to make a saw and supply box for the front rack of my Kawasaki bayou.

Calm and fairly clear skies this morning. Got bookkeeping and chores to do this morning and then foot up and laying on the couch for a while. Foot looks better but I still can't put my full weight on it.

I started to plow two days of snow in the driveway with the truck, it was some heavy chit so I switched to the tractor in four wheel drive.........it made easy work of it.

What a difference a year makes, the first picture is from last year 11/21/15.

I'm thinking we have 14 inches of snow so far.

Winch came in for my Morbark 13 today, along with some other parts. Gonna be a nice chipper once I fix everything up. 15" capacity powered by a 130hp Cat. With the winch, it should eat some trees. image.jpeg

I don't know how much snow we got. Wind blew it all over the place. Some places it's about 6" deep, others it is 18" deep. So I would hazard a guess at around 12" or so.

Today I had to drive to Canton, NY and pick up two new keys for the 210C. I lost my only one! Luckily they had a new set in stock for just under $8. :)

I then spent a good bit of the afternoon plowing and cleaning areas up around the barn, house, and camp. Then brought some wood in.

One more day of work ahead and then off Wed.-Sun.!

Ended up adding gas lines for fireplace at one house, dryer at another house, and range at yet another house. Maybe tomorrow will be the work in the cold house day.
