Not that any of those predictions mean anything until it's all said and done, but I always find it interesting. Here are two of the predictions. Winter 2016-17 Outlook: Post-El NiƱo Warmth Will Linger, But East Could Be Cold U.S. Winter Outlook predicts warmer, drier South and cooler, wetter North | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration The Farmers Almanac is already way off at least for this area. 2016-17 Winter Weather Forecast - Farmers' Almanac The Woolly Worms are predicting a warm winter for this area too. So whether or not those predictions of warmer weather for the coming winter will indeed become fact or not remains to be seen. They all have a 50/50 chance of being right, or at least a 50% chance at least part of their predictions will be right. My prediction: We will have another warmer than normal winter, but not nearly as warm as last year. However, expect heavier than normal snowfall. So, do y'all have a prediction for the coming winter?
Farmers almanac and old farmers almanac saying cold and snowy here. Snowstorm late weekend with much colder temps. Otherwise, it's been pleasantly warm. A good autumn for sure!
Here's my prediction: We'll take it as it comes and thank God we are here to enjoy it....................
Here? A hop, skip, and a jump away from you Star Gazer..... It will be cold 50% of the time, really cold 50% of the time, snowy like when it feels like snowing 50% of the time, unseasonably warm for 50% of any given day during the time, and any of this may occur 50% of the time between tomorrow and May '17...... Stay warm Hoarders!
I predict with a fair amount of certainty, that I'll be burning firewood all winter and keeping warm doing so.
I'm gonna predict that all the weather experts are just as likely to be just as wrong as all the election experts were.
