Headed in for a lunch break 14° sun angle at solar noon today, to be 7° at the end of the month.
Still a little solar heat, but not for much longer.

That weird long and short days of sun, or dark would definitely mess with my head.

I'd still like to experience at least one full year in Alaska just to see what the changes are like especially with the sunshine. Not a lover of that wind though.

Yeah, I think that would be a nice idea too!

Would we have to take our own hardwood along, ya think? ;)

I have often thought of when retirement strikes of going and living in a few places to experience the different climates across our big country. The winter of two years ago almost put paid to that idea. Especially as we were thinking of New Brunswick for a year.

I'm located where 2 glacier/ river valleys merge, makes for a windy area.
20 miles North, a lot less windy.
Willow, where I'm cutting, no wind when I got there, but I left 25 mph wind

Dave we did notice places like this when we were in your state; much like in the western US where it is mountains and valleys etc. Can really get windy in spots. Frustrating though when you are on a bike going downhill and have to work at it! Also when close to the Great Lakes you can usually count on wind but all those open spaces one has to expect it. One reason I like being in the woods; cuts the wind down a lot.

A 30 mph tail wind is fun

I agree Dave but it is usually headwind and uphill all the way, or so it seems.

The pros go faster up hill into the wind than I go down hill
