Jerky gun from burger. Fast easy and everyone loves it. I use the Nesco gun and spices.

Mmmmmmm:drool: never tried making it with ground always have sliced it by hand and hang it on the oven racks from toothpicks... have to try it your way specially since I've got a dehydrator that's only seen some apple slices maybe twice

Nesco jerky shooter kit $19.95 comes with all you need but the venison burger. I package all my venison burger in 1 1/4# vacuum packs. You take 1# of burger mix in a pack of jerky spice and one of jerky cure. Takes all of 15:00 min. Put in the dehydrator for 4 hr. and it's done. Set some aside for your self because it will disappear FAST.

I've done sliced jerky in both an oven and a dehydrator. For some reason I like the texture better from an oven, but it's SO much easier using the dehydrator.

Same here as far as the oven.... that being said I've only had dehydrater jerky from someone else so could just be the way they made it

We can post pictures links and videos but I really wish we could post a scented file  so you could post one for how your house is going to smell when that is getting dried:grizz:
