On my ride today, I finally went to this area for the first time since spring and I found some cherry that has been split. I'll put this in with some pine (two face) I'll be stacking this week. It did get me thinking about some wood I left in the woods, if my memory is correct I have five smaller piles that need a home in the stacks. I'll be taking the small stump out that's in the back right of the picture, it will make for a nice turnaround for the sleds.
You might have a years worth up there in little piles if you are like me. Forget where everything is I do. Nice wood, and woods.
I think that we have about two trailer loads ( the one I pull behind the rhino) it will be ready for next fall. I'm still plan on dropping a few more dead pine around the house this week.
A punky pine tree park!Be careful Woodsnwoods and yooperdave , some splits of it may show up at your place.
We many times also find wood that somebody forgot to pick up and it's just laying out there in the woods. I know I have some out there now that I plan on getting perhaps even this week.
LOL Punky Pine should proceed to Pallet Pete 's promptly to the position of fire pit so Pallet Pete's precarious eye injury will have it for procuring pleasurable peeping physical therapy!
I think we have until the first or second week of December before we get any but if your in the lake effect areas you should see it sooner, Thanksgiving week. I'll be picking up that cherry and some beech tomorrow that's back in the woods. I wish we could get some rain so I could burn some of the junk would outside, it's still dry.
Perhaps punctual pickup proceeds, pending person provides particularly prompt positioning. (In other words...if I can remember where it is I'll go get it)
Woody wanders willfully through the woods, when suddenly stacks of what was thought to be stolen sycamore splits, spoke to his mind, inviting an interesting thought that perhaps a pile of pear was positioned properly over in the pines!
A rather raucous radical rock and roller roamed roughshod amidst the oaks gracefully arching to chainsaw an angular overwrought bough....
Little lithe Leslie learned lately to long for a limber lyricist was looney so into the woods she wanders where without warning Woody awoke....
