Were did you get the roof material? I'm not close to you, but I can't find metal roofing anywhere. I want it to top cover my stacks. I don't need new stuff, but the scrap yards don't have any. Nice looking coop.

So my cutting buddy lined up and got a set of take off stock 12" rims and stock 25" tire sets from a newer Kawasaki atv for my bayou 300. They are an inch taller than stock, but will fit no issues as the bolt hole pattern is the same between the two quads. The front tires are too worn ( nearly bald, on my bayou, and the stock 11" rims are a pita to get tires for.

The front tires are like new, the rears are about the same wear as my stock tires. The rears were pretty good, so that's fine.

So 4 stock mounted aluminum rims and good tires for $100. Not bad at all. This will make my winter log hauling much easier this year.
Navigating the trail when the load of wood rounds is pushing the quads front tires off the trail on the off camber portions was not easy last winter.

Kubota tranny serviced, snowblower mounted, everybody greased, and moved some wood to the front stack and loaded inside.

Last night we brewed a porter and a winter ale.

Tomorrow might go check out a quad for the kiddo.

It's a KFX 80 listed as not running but looks mint. Anyone know how to check this thing out? Horkn perhaps?

Had a FANTASTIC visit from my awesome father and his wife today. Life is too short, I asked him to stop getting older a few decades ago   but he could not grant me that. Anyway his wife bought the whipped cream pie in the face game. OMG we had a blast! God knows we all love our Dads like I do even when we ourselves are past our prime.

Well, there's not too much to those little quads, kinda like my old school Kawasaki bayou. . If it sounds like it's got compression it could be really easy to fix that little 80 up. If it's got compression, and turns over freely, and looks to be in good shape, and the price sounds right. Go for it. You can pm me a link if there's an ad. I'll do what I can to assess it from the listing.

Edit, it's the same as an lt80. 2 stroke with oil injection. Something tells me the carb needs a cleaning. Most toys need this.

Yup, if a cranks over and "sounds" normal (like it has compression, and it has spark (take an extra spark plug along, pull the wire off, put it on the spare plug, ground the plug base, crank it over, should be able to see good spark) then very likely it needs the carb cleaned...no big deal. Even if it has no spark, that should not be a extremely pricey repair. If it's clean/straight and the price is right, probably worth the gamble...
