OPEC pumping oil at record levels ahead of crunch meeting: IEA Good for low oil prices and keeping pellet prices in check. Now waiting for some pellet deals before stocking up.
I've been using gas buddy to find the cheapest station in my area without driving too far(which only negates the savings). See link. GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada - GasBuddy.com $2.19 is the cheapest in my town, But I drive through some towns on the way home. Thomaston and Torrington are slightly cheaper. So instead of filling up on the way to work, I fill up on the way home. Torrington BJ's is $2.13 with card. And Valero is $2.15. I usually stop at the Valero as its not as busy as BJ's and an easier visit. BJ's is usually a cluster on a Friday. No wait at the other..... $0.04 cents x15 gallons aint much. But what the hay if its not a hassle or out of the way. My neighbor has traveled 20 miles to save $0.10 a gallon. Doesn't get he is spending more in gas than he's actually saving. I'll only do that if I'm passing a cheap station on my way to or from an already planned stop or adventure........
Here it's about 14 Norwegian krone (NOK) per liter. Diesel is a little cheaper. (Prepare to be shocked if you do the maths) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14 Norwegian Krone equals about $1.67 US Dollars. And about 3.78 liters per gallon. Works out to about $6.38 per gallon!
$6.55 per gallon here in Oz. Can get up to $7.50 Correct me if I am wrong but Norway is a mega oil producer and it is all owned by the government. I also think Norway has a fantastic standard of living so it is probably propped up by the high prices. Wish we had a similar situation..... LNG to Asia has got real big here, just when it is worth 9/10ths of bugger all, go figure.
Ok. I I'll have a try. Liquid natural gas export to Asia has gotten a large source of income for Australia. But right now it's worth 90 % of nothing. Aka low prices.
Sort of correct. It's a mix of private and state owned. If you've got "five"; Norway’s oil history in 5 minutes It's hardly paradise, but I quite like it here! If you've got another five minutes: https://www.quora.com/What-is-it-like-to-live-in-Norway
You beat me to the punch, devil you Here prices are hovering around the $1.00/litre. The natives are selling around $0.97 and the white man $1.05. Diesel just shot up from $0.92 to $0.99, heating season
