Tree movers showed up a day ahead of schedule. We moved in a Black Hills Spruce from the wood lot.

Set up my brides bird feeding station too, so my nature loving bride is a happy girl!

Fire pit heating up and the beer is getting cold. Couple steaks on deck for dinner.

Always wondered, what does having something like that done cost? I imagine it is much cheaper if you don't have to buy the tree too

Had to do a furnace change out yesterday for a low income individual.
Showed up, house is dark, no answer to the doorbell, no answer to the door knocking, no answer to the phone calling.

Left and finished up another job.

Showed up for the same furnace change out this morning and the house was open and ready for us. Announced myself as I entered the house after knocking-no reply. Went to basement to get started and the stairs down and the basement floor was covered with cat leftovers. Entire basement. No way, no how. I've worked in some bad dirty places that I shouldn't have had to, but being this close to retirement, I took some pics, called the boss to let him know the condition and returned to the shop. My younger partner asked now what do we do? I told him he has to decide that for himself, but I know what I'm not doing. Boss sent another team out to change it out.

    Gooder on ya' Dave.
Even a couple hours on a changeout would be too much in those conditions.

No way should you even be asked to work in those conditions. The homeowners should be told right up what is expected.

Add me to that list too. I will get a trailer load full this weekend, probably dead standing elm, but I need to rotate the tires on the 4runner, and change rear brake pads on it as well. Also I will cut up the few sticks of beech branches and put them in the stacks. They are dry. I'll take a MM reading, but I doubt they'll be above 15%.

It was $150 for the move. It was less than a mile move. :)

We broke a record for a high temp today. 67 degrees. It's also the warmest start to November ever for us.
Like lukem, I was stuck in the office all day, and when I left at 4:30, it was getting dark. The weekend will be here soon.
