I have found what appears to be a decent deal on the stove with all the class A and accessories. I've read some nasty reviews but the current owner says good things, (He's a pretty stand up guy). Just wondering if anyone has some experience with this stove.. Heats 2000sqft, 21" logs and holds 65lbs of wood. It'll be going in the basement for us.

I think the reviews speak for themselves. Under ideal circumstances, it can work. I'd be afraid to gamble on it.

I'm debating just using the stove for this year in the basement and upgrading to a Jotul or IS next year, the price with 30' of class a and the T,thimble, cap and brackets is pretty good, cant buy the chimney alone used for the price, worth the gamble?

Probably for that price I'd take a chance on it.

The last time we were in the market for a stove we looked at it hard and sort of liked it. Then we started hearing about some problems but that is not what stopped us from buying one. It is just we found the one we really wanted and bought it. Have not been sorry either.

    Good luck.

That much class A makes a big difference. Do you know what brand it is?

If the price for all is equal or less than the chimney alone, sounds like a no brainer to me. If you hate the stove you will already be set up to throw in a replacement.
