Almost feel a little sheepish even bringing this up after reading the last few pages...:emb: but if y'all could keep me in your prayers I'd appreciate it. I had a rusty metal sliver removed from my right eye (pupil area) on Friday, I go back for a follow up visit tomorrow, but in the meantime I have went from a little blurry vision in that eye, to totally cloudy, mainly see light and dark images. I imagine its much like having a cataract...gotta admit, little worried 'bout this. I normally have 20/15 vision. Doc did say that he needed to watch that it didn't make scar tissue as it healed...so maybe that whats going on...I know they say eyes normally heal pretty fast...

Thinking, hoping, and praying for you, eyes are a tough part to have injured, but amazing things can be done with lazers and lens inserts.

    Thanks brothers for the prayers.
brenndatomu, your eye will be healed. Believe it to be so, believe in the healing that our Lord created us with. Receive that healing, and it shall be done.
Now- to be fully inclusive, if something other were to beheld in terms of outcome, receive it as well. His Will is unsearchable, and as believers, we must accept that.
I will pray for your healing, as I'm certain many others here in your FHC family will, and your immediate family will be also.
Trust in and praise the Lord- in truth and in Spirit!

    E

Prayers that your eye recovers. Vision is so important esp. for safety. My vision in my right eye is compromised. Macular degeneration. No longer able to read with my right eye. I can see with it, just can't read. things are all twisty. No cure. I'm a few months from 70, and no longer employed so it could have been worse had I been younger.
Please keep us updated on your progress.

brenndatomu prayers sent. I know what it is like with the eyes when I lost one from polio at age 4. It is still tough to live with sometimes having only one eye. Let us believe you won't have that problem as the Lord will heal it.

    Thanks everybody!
Good news to report, things have taken a turn for the better today with my vision, big improvement as the day wore on. By the time I saw the Doc again in the late afternoon most of the cloudiness was gone and I was back to a little blurry. Doc says there is a little infection and some swelling so that is probably why things are still a little blurry. He said the cloudiness was probably infection taking off, even though I was using the antibiotic drops he gave me...but then I think I got some Divine drops, those are much gooder ;)

A big Thank You for all your prayers. As many will remember, I took a pickaroon to the leg on April 14th. It was a long road back, but have worked carpentering the last two weeks and spent this afternoon in the wood yard. With all the walking for therapy, I believe I'm in better shape than before. All Praise, Honor and Glory to the Great Physician!

I knew my blood pressure was up as I have a lot of chronic pain issues, never should have jumped from a perfectly good military airplane x50. Doctor put me on Cymbalta this week and blood pressure meds 176/125 isn't good. So I guess I'm a little worried about the cymbals side affects. Think about me in your prayers as I pray for everyone on the FHC.:)

Praying for you and hoping that you don't have any bad side effects. Really watch for those, as Cymbalta is a tricky one.

Doctor once talked about putting me on cymbalta but now I don't remember much about it except that I passed on it. On the blood pressure, no, this is not good but hopefully you can make some changes and get that down a bit. Tis not a good thing to have. Praying for good results for you.

I apologize to those who by now are probably tired of me complaining about my pain issues. However, one more time I'll ask for some prayers. My back was better through spring and summer then gradually becoming a bit worse in the fall. The last week has been a big trial for sure and today was ridiculous. I've accomplished nothing today except to get on atv and go to where friend parked his truck to look for his hat, which I did not find. Then I decided to try shooting a rifle and made 2 whole shots. End of activity for the day. I'm about at wit's end on this one and tired of facing this crap over and over. Prayer is about all that appears to be left and the Lord knows I've asked more than once for His help. Now I need some prayer warriors. All help appreciated.

I am going to try to plan on sitting in a deer blind in the morning and the ornery one said she will gladly drive me out to it then pick me up when I can't take it any longer. So then, I'm thinking, probably a big one might come along and I'll shoot it. Then the work starts. OMG! I hope a neighbor is home. The friend I helped the other day lives over 50 miles from us so hate to call him. But fortunately I have a pastor friend who has helped me on this more than once and he is not quite so far away. His brother lives even closer and owns property next to ours.
