Not as far as I would like to be, but going good on my load of wood. Gonna be watching for black Friday deals. My 021 needs a big brother. Gonna post this and get back to it. Sun is going down fast.
Looks like your getting on just fine. Take your time. I overdid it today and I'm definitely going to be paying for it tomorrow. Nice stacks.
Looking good to me Lots of work done there !!! Saving lots of $$ burning wood ! (helping justify a new saw ) A steady pace will Get-R-Done
Great job. There are times I can only devote an hour may be 2 to working on the hoard, but slow and steady wins the race.
That's a great looking hoard of Thor Keep at it, and you'll be able to sit back soon and admire your future winters warmth!
Man, what a trophy rack of rounds! Thats gonna = mega btu's! Nice work sir-little by little means years ahead before you know it...keep at it fellow hoarder And treat yourself to a lil mo' power...it will pay for itself, just like when the wife says "it was on sale"....
In the top pic the two logs on top look like pine. For burning it I find you need to choke down a little bit more than hardwood and you might not want to fill the stove more than half way with 100% pine. At least until you see how much flame you get in your stove with it. Flames shooting out the top of the chimney scares (some of ) the neighbors.
Looks great - nice and neat. Keeping it all organized will make the time you can dedicate, that much more productive. It gets tough with the short days. I used to have mine nice and neat too but I've been slipping - a lot... My unsplit pile is a heaping mess right now, so it doesn't really get worked on unless I have a good block of free time. Anyway, real nice job!
Front log definitely ash, the second log appears to look more like Norway Maple but I wouldn't bet much on that guess. And you definitely have some pine or spruce flavor in there.
