Im telling him tomorrow flat out. Option 1 reimbursement for a welder of my choosing.Option 2 find a brand new advance. Option 3 install a new xxv and all parts and labor with it. Option 4 full refund and come pick up your stove. Option 5 ill fight them legally

It sad of purchasing a last of production item. Chances of having a new replacement is next to nil so that wouldn't work in your favor. A little patience is what is needed at this time and forever crying out loud Harman better step up to bat this Monday or no later than Tuesday as this has been going on a little too long:mad:

This sort of fiasco is the exact reason I don't buy new stoves any more (Bought one and had issues)

I find clean used ones and rebuild them to tip top shape and fix all the crap that was not right to begin with.

I can feel your pain, especially after forking out $4 K ++ and then have to put up with the bull.

    Keep the faith bro.

I know a dealer north east of me that has a new Advance. I know it's a stretch for them to get it, but shipping isn't to bad. I had my Enerzone shipped from Canada to Ohio for about $300.

Nichols out of Madison Oh. Has an Advance. They want $1899 for this one. It's been a demo unit in their shop. But probably better than the one you have currently!

Hey Dex, That's where I bought my Enviro. Bob shipped the beast up to CT for less than $250.00 IIRC. Was an easy peasy dealer to work with when I had the igniter/main board issue. He shipped the warrantied parts up and Even paid for all the return parts to be shipped back. Great guy in my book!!

On shipping, If you ship to a business address its cheaper and doesn't require the lift gate fee. Which is like an extra $50 IIRC??

No way to know.....but maybe they did. IIRC, wasn't it a "left-over"?

That's been my experience as well Jay, either ship to business address w/ elevated dock or pickup @ shipping terminal depot (which is what I did on a past non-stove purchase) - but if I had to do it again, for the time (2+hr round-trip), fuel, etc I would have had it delivered to the house..

Well worth the extra 50-75 bucks, at least out-in-the-woods here.

That's what I did when I got the 10-cpm. Worth the delivery to the front step, and the driver even helped me get it up on the deck next to the door.....he made a nice little tip too.

I agree, and wouldn't want it fixed non-standard, vs. factory..

There are more than a few stoves on the market that do have this though (including the Francesca here), e.g. holes drilled/tapped directly into the fire box and/or heat exchanger assembly to accept threaded bolts / screws to attach stuff, that's never been an issue here. This is just FYI.

Personally, the drilled & tapped would be fine by me as long as done by dealer. But IMO, this is the same as buying a "repaired" stove from the dealer showroom..... there should be a refund of some $$.

its a BRAND NEW XXV, with the touchpad control similar to the Absolute43! They have just hit the streets.....more BTU's than your Advance, quieter, and VERY customize-able as to the controls....figured you'd like that. Can even use the new wireless sensor! And, IMHO, a helluva lot better looking. The outlet size is the same as the old XXV tho.
Ive even heard it can play Lithuanian christmas carols and can teach your children Trigonometry!
    Viso gero!
