I think I gave myself a hernia last weekend - consistent small spot of pain in my lower abdomen whenever I sneeze/cough
All because I did a thorough cleaning of my stove blowers and didn't wear a dust mask:headbang:

Nope....not gonna' like that......not one bit.
Go get it checked out ASAP. I truly believe mine got worse because I waited to go see the doc.
Oh, and mine popped when I coughed. :loco:

Rafter length from tip of tail to tip of peak is a long distance, over 22 feet. Closer to 23 feet. So I had the mill cut the 2x8 rafter boards to 14 feet and 10 feet. These boards are cut to whatever length the logs are cut to. Usually 3-6" over your requested length. This works well, besides adding work to cut them, because it gives us some leeway. This makes getting them up there much easier. And I and the saw mill would of had to special order long logs. Easier this way all around. Two piece rafters.

Thanks CBV. Appreciated. The weather has been slowing me/us down several days over the last month. And they want me to go to work in order to collect a pay check. o_O:rofl:

    Wha....?
How are you supposed to get the barn done?
Fairly thoughtless of them, methinks. :D
Kinda' what I was thinking on the rafters, but thought I'd ask.

I spent some time with my son at the work bench cleaning the works on these old gas torches. The large Turner builds pressure and we'll fire it up tomorrow with fresh fuel. The knob on the little Lenk is stuck and got a shot of cleaner. I am surprised the old fuel in them still combusts.

basod, google, "inguinal ligament or inguinal hernia" and take it from there. Pretty much an outpatient surgery.
While wearing a dust mask is a good idea for respiratory protection, I doubt the lack of a mask is related to an injury to the inguinal ligament.
    Good luck.

Caffeine going down. Made a small donation last night to Pallet Pete for a very young little guy he knows who is sick. Hope it can help his family a little.

Today I am going to get to work on building more trusses up on the loft floor. I don't think I'll have any help today. Others are at hunting camp or working/doing their own things.

Weather looks like it may cooperate. Small chance of rain. Wish me luck. And you hoarders have a good, safe, and fun day!

Looks like someone whose heart is still in the U.P.

Not only do we have to guard the U.P. but we have to keep the rest of the country in shape too!
