New echo cs 501p vs ported echo 490

The 501 has a higher rpm coil. Gonna try that on the 490.

Was curious how they stacked up performance wise. the 501p is the new model, replacing the 490/500 50cc saws.

 

That bugger perked up a lot

 

#1= 18.2
#2= 19.5
Average 18.85

#3= 11.8
#4= 10.7
Average 11.25

Thank you, but those are 2 different saws.

The 501 was just released in the us last week. I believe it is intended to replace the 490.

It is rated 1hp more than a stock 490. wanted to see how it comped to my ported 490.

It does have a 14,500 + coil that I believe my 490 needs dearly.

I'll post the before/after of the 490.
