12 y/o Lennox Montage 32 FS Pellet Feed Perkup - Auger now turns like butter!

The Top Oilite Bronze bearing was making a metal against metal auger grinding noise. Almost squeeking!

Finally the pellets stopped feeding.
This stove has the best Nylatron Bottom auger bearing. If the top was made of Nylatron, that would be better?

This Lennox Montage 32 FS is approx 12 years old,
Is that how long the auger motor should last when installed using a Nylatron bearing when stove is used every winter?
What is your experience here?

Here is what we did.
Because the auger motor would not turn and the auger collar set screw was pointing to the convection blower, we had to remove the convection blower to get a good socket on it!
1. Remove the set screw and auger motor.
After removing the set screw however the motor would not drop off without alot of prying and banging with some PB blaster spray and a rubber hammer.
2. Remove Auger End Plate and Auger.
3. Clean auger with wire wheel and remove top bearing.
4. Remove bottom Nylatron bearing with channel locks
5. Install new Nylatron auger bearing and tighten nut with channel locks while holding the top of the bearing with vise grips! Care must be made not to ruin the new bearing.
6. Put new bronze tip auger bearing on top of auger. I added more lite machine oil for extra lube,.
7. Re-Install auger and auger motor
8. Use test cord to prime auger chute after adding pellets to the hopper. Now it will start properly.
