I saw a pink sky over the ridge behind the house, but the clouds never let go and it rained/drizzled all day. Weather guessers promised us some sun and mid 50's and scattered showers after the morning rain broke up. Well, I guess the morning rain never broke up - so technically they weren't wrong about the sun. High here was 47. I know, coulda been worse, but I was looking forward to the leaves drying out so I could move at least some of them. At this rate, the leaves will still be there while I'm trying to sn*w bl*w :hair:

I was thinking the same thing. Odd how a clown is now an object of hate. In a way, I feel sorry for the generations of clowns that have made children laugh for many years.

Love it, but I only have 60 hours or so on it. It is a 3032 Hydrostat 32horse 3cyl.
Picking up all the toys for it is the fun part. So much to choose from!

:thumbs:Do you have pallet forks yet? They are the best. So many things you can move/do with them.

My tree guy came around 1 today and took the trees down.

    First the elm.

    Then the ash.

I had him leave them about 8 foot tall so I could drop them. I think I will mill the ash.

My bride our friend Sam and I took care of all the limbs. We were about to take a trailer and truck load full to the tree dump before it closed.

We then loaded up two trailers full of limbs and will take them to the dump later in the week.

Helped Sam try his hand again at the chainsaw. He was a bit nervous to begin with but eventually he did pretty well. He is a hard worker and an all around good kid.

We got a start at bucking up the limbs, but spent a good amount of time putting back up the fence that I took down so the limbs could be dropped. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

    A good day indeed!

Went shopping. Pulled some trail cam pics. Re-sighted in my deer gun after I decided to re-mount my scope. Cleaned up around the yard a little. Delivered a load of wood to the old folks up the road. Made dinner. Took the kiddos to a Halloween party. Watching baseball.

This weekend is our last softball tournament for the fall. We played two games and the team played two great games. We ended up losing game 1 by 1 run. In game two we hung on to a 6-4 lead to win the game.

Tomorrow we play the bracket play round which is single elimination. Looking forward to the girls playing a strong game.

Once we get past this weekend, I'll be moving forward on my three year plan. Last weekend, my son and I cleared away from the pile. Giving us access to start cutting. We just need to bring the pallets down and level them. We'll be ready to start cutting after that.

That hook in the Cherry tree could make an interesting piece if milled right...
