First Ride..................

You are like me, need more snow, looks like just enough but bumpy.
We had over 12" but now it's gone.
Lucky you to be able to ride though.

We took the sleds out for a couple of hours, the first pic is from our property and the rest are from the state park.

We did take a run on the county trails up through the woods, that will be our last until we get more snow.

 

We both need more snow, they're calling for another 3-6 inches by Wednesday afternoon, I doubt it will happen.

 

They're calling for 3-7 for area starting on Wednesday morning, if we get that and the storm this weekend the hills will be filled with the sound of sleds.

I'm just hoping we don't get any rain or ice from the weekend storm.

 

I think we'll get about five inches of snow from this storm, it should make the trails nicer. South of us they should get 8-10 out of this storm.

Way too much cold and ice. Snow is too limited for good sporting events. Many cancelations this winter. I don't know how the wild animals survive. I feed the birds. I enjoy watching them. I don't start feeding them until the first snow because I don't want to encourage any of them not to migrate. As it is, all the ones I have at my feeder are ones that don't go south anyway.

 

We headed out to Little Blue Mountain, pic 8557,8558,8559 & 8560. The rest of the pictures are from the ride up & back.

Once we were up on Little Blue Mountain about 9 other sleds showed up, two were from my old hometown. The winds were strong enough up on Little Blue that it cooled you off quick.

We decided to come back to our property (about 22 miles) to have lunch & bust some trails. We were the first on the trails coming from Colton, the traffic picked up real quick once we made it up to Little Blue, trails will be like chit after the weekend unless we get another 5-6 inches of snow.

 

8563 & 64 are back on our property for lunch.

Well Seasoned, what type of temps are you getting? Most of the riders were good today, a few were going faster than they should've on the smaller trails.

Gasifier, it was a good day (still windy) but still a great day to ride. The trails could be marked better but we'll get use to them once we ride them more.

 

Just some pictures from the ride today, we went in every direction today, We did the compass today, south, east, west then headed back north.

We met the groomer twice on the same trail, once heading west then heading back east, that trail was smooth.
