And after we finished up I was able to use my loader with my neighbor's clamp on pallet forks to move three piles of lumber down close to the barn and cover them with a big tarp. This helped me reclaim a big section of my driveway! :dancer:

Finished mowing the yard in a cold rain.

This is the first October I can remember not needing a fire. Trees have barely started changing color. Was in the mid 80s last week. Weird.

This building had a bad roof and partially collapsed on a 1 story building beside it. It had a shared wall with the building on the other side. The masonry on all the buildings are in such bad shape we didn't dare to just start chopping it down. Ended up cutting the trusses between the two and taking the walls down by hand. Had 3 of the big sidedumps hauling out today, they got 9 loads plus I loaded 3 rolloff boxes. I'm thinking 3 more big loads of debris out and we can start hauling in fill for the basement tomorrow.

    Looks like a great time.

I want to hit up COTA for motoGP, especially now that there's no gp at Indianapolis anymore.

Did you get to go up the giant mullet tower?

I've not yet been to Austin. MotoGP has been a blast, at least the races I've been to at Indy.

I also go to the American Superbike races at Road America, we do that every year.

We're also thinking about hitting up the World Superbike races at Laguna Seca next summer.

Caffeine! And Tylenol this morning. Some sore muscles. Hopefully get started on building the gable end walls up on the loft today. It is cold this morning, with a layer of frost on everything.

Mornin' Hoarders, breakfast ritual now in progress. We are supposed to get 3-4" of wet slushy snow this afternoon and tonight. Headed over to help the widow of my late Trapshooting partner, who recently past away. He had a "ENORMOUS" amount of shooting equipment and supplies that he had collected over a 35 year shooting career. She wants to pare the hoard down (she also shoots). So, we are going to go through everything and catalog it, so she can disperse what she does not want to keep. Everybody have a great and safe day.............. especially you hoarders down in the North East States who are going to receive a visit from Ole' Man Winter today.

Good morning, a damp/misty 58 degrees where it's gonna' stay until the tempos start falling off into the upper 30's tonight.
I stihl have a truckload of far'wood on my truck, not because I'm a slacker,,,(well, I probably am, in fact, a slacker..), spent several hours splitting and moving a couple truckloads to the other side of the shed,,lots of clean up with plenty of spiders and the burning of all the woodshed/splitter scraps/trash..turns out it was some thirsty work.
Have a good day, be safe out there.

Don't slip. That frost can be like ice! That is going to be one big barn you are putting up. Lots of space, (for a while anyway!) How many horses are you planning on taking care of in there?
