With all the rain we're in for, it will be a mess but we do need the water so I won't complain.

If we get all that rain with gust over 40 we'll have some trees coming down, I better make sure the saws are ready.

These are the totals Weather Underground are calling for, Thursday 2.88, Friday 1.75 and Saturday 1.02 inches of rain. 5.65 inches of rain plus the 3-5 of snow.

The Brook will be trucking along after this event.

    Saturday 100 % Precip. / 0.61 in
Rain. Temps nearly steady in the mid to upper 30s. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

    Saturday Night 100 % Precip. / 3-5 in
Snow in the evening will transition to snow showers overnight. Low near 30F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 100%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.

This came down in the last two days across one of the trails we use in the spring, late fall and in the winter with the sleds.

It's a Basswood so we might use some of it for kindling. Since the wind gust are pretty good I didn't want to spend much time in the woods.

For all the rain we received, the trails are in great shape. In the last picture you can see some sitting water at the end of the area I've been putting leaves and pine needles.

Looks like a goods sized tree. Basswood definitely good for kindlin or SS. Our winds are building here now, maybe up to 40mph

I did two loads of pine needles, one load of leaves and burned some pine branches and wet splits. The wind picked up so I changed to burning wet pine splits to keep the flames down.

I really wanted to burn more but thought the winds were a touch strong.

I did burn four bucket loads of pine branches and some out of a pile of pine branches not far from the fireplace.

It took longer for them to turn this year because of the weather but when they did it was nice.

Most of the leaves on the Maples are off on our property but when you get closer to Potsdam they were still on.

I did start burning some of the junk pine in the outside fireplace today, around noon we cooked some hot dogs over the fire.

The batteries in the camera never charged so we'll give them another charging tonight.

These pictures are from Tuesday's cleanup and some trail work. The leaves are from in back of the outdoor fireplace, getting them out allowed me to burn today.

I brought over about five bucket loads to the outdoor fireplace for burning.

I took six trailer loads of leaves to a low spot in one of the trails near the house.

The Bobcat was spotted in Lisbon NY.

The trail clearing and the raking behind the fireplace was done yesterday.

Today I burned a bunch of junk pine, it was a good day for it because we had snow, sleet, rain and then back to snow. They had a couple of accidents south of us, according to the scanner it was freezing on.

I did more burning of the junk wood today, I'm starting to see a big difference in the area behind the fireplace but I still have a chit load more left.
