Yeah. That brick panel dosent reach the right retainer. Thats why the dealer thinks its also the wrong flame quide

good reason for the rattle.....the flame guide part number is correct on the pic you show though....I am wondering if possibly the flame guide isn't all the way in, and the brick panel is falling down lower than it really should, therefore, not in contact with the retainers, and just rattlin' around.......

If he wasn't clueless, it wouldn't rattle now

any mo' rattles? I don't any longer have an Advance to compare it to, but the brick panel seems really low.....are you sure the flame guide is all the way back against the rear of the burnpot?

Yep. Rattling like hell . As far as i can tell the quide is in there properly , umless theres some special way it locks in. The guide is n back as far as it will go then the bricks slide down onto it

that sounds right.....put the brick panel in, engage it in the dogs to the upper left and right, while you hold it, slip the flame guide in, then lower the panel onto it.......no special way really.

How bad is the rattling? I don't question you, but had a person this week complaining of a loud banging every 15 secs with his P61A.....we went out there twice, nothing, except for metal expansion while heating noises, which went away when the fire got established.....that expansion noise to him must have been the loud banging.

right....they generally wont deal with you directly, and prefer the dealer who sold the unit do any warranty work on it. Other dealers aren't required to do so.
