I got some leaves on the ground but I don't know where they're coming from most of the trees are green here
Its amazing how things differ from one part of this continent to another. Many of our trees here are void of leaves.
We took a pic of our hill (Mt Flamstead) yesterday from a distance. The Red Oaks, up top, are starting to turn color, and the maples lower down are looking a bit washed out now. Can't see our house, but the sunlight is reflecting off a barn roof, just above the yellow tree. We went on a forestry walk yesterday morning, put on by the company my wife works for, and got to see some beautiful countryside and foliage on the way there and on the walk...
Yes, we used to grow and sell them for the kids' college funds. Now we just grow them for "The Big Rock".
I was out in the bush getting wood with my son yesterday and snapped this shot. In the foreground you can see the trees have all lost their leaves and in the back you can see the larch trees with the bright yellow needles. Im fortunate because I get to enjoy two fall colour seasons, one right after the other!
Thats a nice shot from your deck. How are the trees looking from it now? Are they about done or are they full of colour?
They are still in good color. The leaves are gone on the lower trees for the most part, but the upper two thirds are still on. It's been blowing hard and raining for the past two days. I'll try to get another pic up.
