    I think I'm seeing some silver maple leaves - course it is fall... Does look maple-y to me though.

    Looks like maple to me too. I suck at identifying types of maple though.

    I figured it was silver maple, I just wanted confirmation if I was right but, I was hoping someone would tell me it was sugar maple:)

    We can tell you it's sugar maple, but it's not. It's silver maple.

    Maple with a lot of hollow rot - so frustrating when the saw starts plunging through those rounds like fluff

    I like burning soft maples ok. Burn up pretty fast, but decent wood.

    Yeah, the bark and the leaves are dead giveaways that is silver maple.

    It's not as good as sugar maple, but it's good stuff.

    Well, it isn't like oak or Hickory but there's a lot of it around here, tree crews and Power company's been cutting it down all over the place around here.
    I wasn't sure if there were other trees around that dropped the leaves on the ground, I didn't take the pics
