A friend of mine is selling a small ~8,000 lb excavator, with a cab, 4 buckets, a thumb and has new tracks. Needs some pins and bushings, and a cylinder repacked, but seems fine otherwise. I love managing wood piles with an excavator with a hydraulic thumb. Makes a wonderful saw buck also. Will know more tomorrow :dex:

If the price is right Get It!!! I've used one on a few occasions last time was 60" diameter rounds and how nice it was to sit and twist the controls and never touch a piece by hand not to mention the hundreds of other uses

Haha I was sure I was going to read another super positive review of the fine saw bucks my Brother Shawn Curry has been making! Hope it all works out for you. An excavator would be a very handy machine to have around.

I can tell you from experience that it is great to be able to pick up tree-length wood and buck it at waist level. Used one at a GTG last year and I think we cut up something like 20 cords of rounds in about six hours.
