Today's work

took the day off since I had many things to do. Got about 2/3 to 1 cord cut, and dropped 4 smallish hickories and one horn beam. One hickory around 12 inches in diameter was misjudged and started leaning the wrong way. Luckily the tractor was nearby, so I pushed it the right way. Scary few minutes

It's a good day when ya get some hickory

 

Got a shot in between the rain, finished the pile. Realize some are short, but I cut for my father also. Mix of maple,ash, hickory,cherry,apple, and some willow. .

Got a little stacking done, maybe a half cord. Blocked up the old dead hickory also. I must say, the MS 461 sings when I touch up the rakers. Blocks looks small since I am taking the picture from second story deck, but they are in the 30-36 inch range.
