Thanks for all the great advice for Campinspecter. It has been a painful two weeks for him to learn not to pick up anything heavy. And we have had great weather up until now so he really wanted to go wood cutting. Good thing the splitter is sitting up on blocks!! :D

Glad to see they leave at least that many trees. If you guys have not seen it yet, watch a show called The National Parks: America's Best Idea sometime when you have the time. Directed by Ken Burns, and very well done. I don't even think I watched the whole thing. It was on PBS and I think I watched better than half of it. I am going to watch the whole thing sometime. It shows quite a bit of logging and why and how we had to start regulating the industry before we lost everything. And of course, the very positive results of creating The National Parks. Now, am I going to have to buy that series or can I get it at the library?

That's why we always try to get ahead, you never know when these old bodies of ours will have a break down. Looks like you have a lot of wood to choose from.

I usually split kindling by hand when needed at the boiler. But seeing Woodwidow has been running the whole show :), she said I have a woodsplitter and even if does not have wheels ;) it will still make kindling. So why split by hand? :D

pie eating video or pie making video? I would love to be able to attach the smell of a fresh baked pie to my pictures. then this thread would really drive everyone to eating. I have been baking too much lately so it may be a while before I post any more pie pics although I wouldn't mind making a craisin custard pie or a raisin cream pie. I have been reading recipes again.

Thanks. I have lousy aim with an ax and Campinspecter is certain I will chop off something I shouldn't so the wood splitter does make it in some ways safer and far easier for me. I just have to be very conscious of where my hands are while using the splitter.

Glad to see you have a new site just 300' away! Take care of yourself and don't push the recovery like I always do!

The title of your OP begs the following question - What is a hoarder's #1 worst nightmare?
