I have a very nice cs400 that I am going to try and get extra bars, chains, gut the muffler and pull carb caps on. If there is demand I want to auction it for a young boy named Justin facing some serious challenges. Justin is in 6th grade Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and has started chemotherapy treatments. My friend and neighbour who is also my coworker and route partner at work is his Uncle. They are the nicest people you could meet. I would really like to auction it off for him. I may consider a port if its affordable as well.

So the question is is there any interest in something like this?

I've found that demand means nothing on a charitable auction. People think with their hearts on stuff like that. Post some pics of the kid (and family) along with the saw to get the emotions flowing.

And don't be surprised if the winner tells you they want you to keep the saw or give it to someone else. I've seen this happen before too.

I say do it! Btw....hell of a nice gesture.

From the benefits I have been a part of, you might raise more money by setting up a go fund me account with the saw being the prize.

There is a go find me for him but this would be my way to help raise money as I can't put much to it any other way.

It's pretty easy PP, just get his go fund me link, those who donate say $10 a ticket, put their FHC screen name in the note section when they donate. Pick a day for the drawing, go through the go fund me donations, write down all the screen names X the number of tickets, put them in a hat, let the kid draw a name. I've seen some saws bring in good donations. Good on you for doing as well... I know I would donate. You'll get more money that way than just auctioning.

    Thanks buddy!

I like this idea a lot! I may need to do a paypal though so I can keep the members names in the drawing as well as anybody who wants to send a check.

More to come at any rate.

I took the muffler apart and gutted it today then welded it back together. Hopefully it sounds good too! I am going to open the front a little more tomorrow if it needs it. Yesterday I also removed the carb caps so I can juice it up! :dex::saw: Pics coming tomorrow.
