Buddy asked if I wanted some wood. Ahh yeah of course! His dad had a maple and a white oak taken down. The maples trunk was hallow but still some good wood in it. The oak was solid with a little rot at the bottom.

Took a full trailer load and a half load to get it all home. Only knock on it was the length the tree service cut them too, I'll end up with a lot of chunk wood.(pretty typical).

Can't beat white oak! Nice job getting that wood, even if you need to cut a few to length.

I really like the look of you street too! Looks like a great neighborhood.

I use to live in SW Michigan in Sister lakes.

Gotta love tree service lengths. =) If that's the biggest problem though, it's a good one to have! Nice score!:dex:

That's my buddies dads street. It's a great dead end street, good sized lots with really mature trees. If I had to live in the "city" it would have to be on a street like that.

More like heaped in a pile after getting it off the trailer. My processing area is a mess, I need to get to work splitting and stacking.

Sorry rdust but I can't help but laugh when I'm picturing you going into your driveway with that load of oak! It has to be interesting! But, this is coming from a flatlander.

I've been to Buchanon many times. Worked there doing sheet metal one summer years ago at a hot stamping manufacturing plant during college. I loved sister lakes. Still visit friends there on Magician.

    Small world is right!
