It was bad enough to arrive at the wood pile to find it burned up! :( BUT!

Do what the Dr. tells you. I had a double hernia several years ago, then a herniated disk. Both took a while and the back injury will be with me till the end.

    Thanks for the encouragement.
Just recently added another small woodshed to Granny's collection and it's full, and our wood storage is also full, so I will survive the 6 weeks!

Sorry to hear about your wood pile Alan. And your very temporary time off. Make sure you take it easy. What your body can do is amazing if you give it time. You will have to enjoy that view a little more. And some extra time with a couple of young ladies of yours. I think you can handle it!

Allan, just saw this thread. Take all the time off you need to heal properly. Like everyone said, you don't want six weeks to turn into twelve or more.

    Good luck, feel better.

    Allan,

I went back to the beginning of the thread and looked at the pictures. Do they clear cut the area every time they go into an area? Are there rules about how large of an area they can clear cut? I am interested to hear the rules where you are and the rules where others are. I don't want to take your thread off track though. Maybe a different thread should be started about logging rules and regulations in different members areas, etc. Just interesting stuff.

There are rules controlling the size of the clear cuts and through out the cuts there are leave patches , leave strips along streams for shade and these strips along streams gets wider as the streams get bigger with increased potential for spawning beds . Not off topic I,m somewhat bored and enjoy the conversation .
I will look on Google Earth and find some examples of the leave patches .

Allan, hope you heal quickly. Sounds like you are well on the way to that.
